The Assumption of The Blessed Virgin Mary

On Friday, August 15th we celebrate the Assumption
of Mary into Heaven. It is a Holy Day of Obligation
which means that it is treated as a Sunday and all
Catholics, who are faithful, are mandated to attend
Mass on that day to honor Our Blessed Lady. Masses
will be celebrated at 9 am and at 12:15 pm at St.
Catherine Church. We have eliminated the evening
Mass on Holy Days of Obligation due to very low
attendance. You are most cordially invited to attend
an evening Mass at a nearby parish of your choice.
