Pastoral Ministry Corner – 4/23/23

Our Faith Formation Students from Pre-K through Grade 8-
Celebrated their final class of the year in a special way. We learned
about the Via Lucis, which is 14 stations marking the events that
happened after the Resurrection. The stations are posted on the
east wall of the hall for anyone else who would like to take a few
prayerful moments to remember this important time for our Church.

The Via Lucis begins under the statue of Mary by the stage and
ends by the exit from the hall to the church. We also went outside
for a scavenger hunt finding signs of the Resurrection in nature. We
finished with many tasty items provided by our Catechists and Parents.
Set up and clean up by catechists and Confirmation was spot
on. The Catechists surprised Mrs. A with a beautiful plant and a
touching card on her last day of teaching. Some students also made
cards which will be treasured with special memories of our time
together.

Our Third Graders will have a Retreat to prepare for First
Eucharist on Saturday, April 29th from 10:30 to Noon. All students
must attend with at least one parent. They will receive the Eucharist
for the first time on Sunday, May 7th. Please pray for Jacob, Emelina,
McKinley, Emma, and Brayden as they prepare for this Sacrament.

Confirmation Prep Students will meet on Sunday, April
30th at 9:30 am in St. Philip Hall for a short class and then will
attend Mass togethe
